Source: Jainworld: Jain History (h)Vāsiṣṭhapura (वासिष्ठपुर) or Vāśiṣṭhapura is one of the historical name for Vasantagarh, situated eight Kms. to the south of Piṇḍwārā. The inscription of the seventh or eighth century A.D. engraved on the walls of this temple definitely proves its ancientry. Besides, a pair of images of Rīṣabhadeva (Ṛṣabhadeva) with the inscription of 687 A.D. has been discovered from under the ground.
