Vacanavyakti (वचनव्यक्ति).—f.

1) The exact implication of a statement (i. e. the exact specification of its uddeśapada and vidheyapada); अन्या हि वचनव्यक्तिर्विधीयमानस्य, अन्या गुणेन संबध्यमानस्य (anyā hi vacanavyaktirvidhīyamānasya, anyā guṇena saṃbadhyamānasya) ŚB. on MS.3.1.12. °भेदः (bhedaḥ) divergence in the implication of the statement; न च विधेर्विधिनैकवाक्यभावो भवति । वचनव्यक्ति- भेदात् (na ca vidhervidhinaikavākyabhāvo bhavati | vacanavyakti- bhedāt) ŚB. on MS.6.1.5.

2) interpretation; यदा अनुवादपक्षस्तदा आहिताग्नेः । यदा विधिपक्षः तदा अनाहिताग्नेः । उभयथा वचनव्यक्तिः प्रतीयते (yadā anuvādapakṣastadā āhitāgneḥ | yadā vidhipakṣaḥ tadā anāhitāgneḥ | ubhayathā vacanavyaktiḥ pratīyate) ŚB. on MS.6.8.8.
