Source: Sutta: The Pali Text Society's Pali-English DictionaryUtūpasevanā refers to: seasonable activity, pursuit (of activities) according to the seasons, observance of the seasons Sn. 249 (= gimhe ātapa-ṭṭhāna-sevanā vasse rukkha-mūla-sevanā hemante jalappavesa-sevanā SnA 291).
Note: utūpasevanā is a Pali compound consisting of the words utu and upasevanā.
Pali is the language of the Tipiṭaka, which is the sacred canon of Theravāda Buddhism and contains much of the Buddha’s speech. Closeley related to Sanskrit, both languages are used interchangeably between religions.
