Uttānāsana (उत्तानासन) is a type of posture (āsana), according to verse 2 of the Śrītattvanidhi.—Accordingly, “Having made the body like a corpse, keep the knees together and bring them up to the navel. Wrap the arms around the neck and rock back and forth. This is uttānāsana, facing-up āsana”.

The 19th-century Śrītattvanidhi is a sanskrit treatise describing 80 primary āsanas, or ‘posture’ (e.g., uttāna-āsana) and several additional ones.

Iyengar has an uttānāsana which is quite different from this. He has nothing taking this form.
