Two Obstructions:—A technical term in Buddhism corresponding to the Sanskrit jñeya defined in the Dharma-saṃgraha (section 115):

  1. The obstruction of defilements (kleśāvaraṇa),
  2. The obstruction of what remains to be known (jñeyāvaraṇa).

The Dharma-samgraha (Dharmasangraha) is an extensive glossary of Buddhist technical terms in Sanskrit (e.g., ‘two obstructions’). The work is attributed to Nagarguna who lived around the 2nd century A.D.
