ṭhōkaṇa (ठोकण).—n (A low formation from ṭhōkaṇēṃ To hit or knock down, i. e. to realize or gain.) A business, affair, work, article of property &c. that regularly produces something. Ex. puṇyācī khēpa dōnaśēṃ rūpayāñcēṃ ṭhō0 āhē; hēṃ śēta tīna khaṇḍīcēṃ ṭhō0: also by meton., the gain or profit realized. Ex. mājhēṃ niyamita ṭhō0 yandā ubhēṃ rāhilēṃ nāhīṃ. 2 W A mark left by the small pox, a pock-pit.
