Source: Wisdom Library: Maha Prajnaparamita SastraSuvimuktaprajña (सुविमुक्तप्रज्ञ) is a title given to the Bhikṣus that accompanied the Buddha when he went to Gṛdhrakūṭaparvata at Rājagṛha according to Mahāprajñāpāramitāśāstra (chapter VI). The heretics (tīrthika) who have renounced pleasure (virakta) acquire liberation of mind on one single point and by a single path, but they are not freed from all the obstacles (āvaraṇa). This is why the Arhats alone are called Suvimuktacitta and Suvimuktaprajña.
Mahayana (महायान, mahāyāna) is a major branch of Buddhism focusing on the path of a Bodhisattva (spiritual aspirants/ enlightened beings). Extant literature is vast and primarely composed in the Sanskrit language. There are many sūtras of which some of the earliest are the various Prajñāpāramitā sūtras.
