1. Suriyopama Sutta. Just as the dawn is the forerunner of the sun, so is right view the forerunner of the four Ariyan truths. S.v.442.

2. Suriyopama Sutta. Just as there is darkness in the world till the sun or the moon rises, so is there ignorance of the four Ariyan truths till a Buddha arises. S.v.442f.
