Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionarysampādaṇī (संपादणी).—f sampādaṇūka f (Verbal of sampādaṇēṃ) Acquiring or obtaining: accomplishing or effecting. 2 Supporting a character or part assumed, an unjust pretension, a false assertion &c. by artful coloring, plausible speech &c.; giving a specious appearance to a matter in general. 3 The dressing up (as of a kathā by a haradāsa, or of any legend-exposition) with rhetorical embellishments. See batāvaṇī. 4 Acting of a character or part (in a dramatic performance). Pr. jasēṃ sōṅga taśī saṃ0 Act out the part according to its requirement. 5 The managing or carrying through, i. e. the furnishing and the performing (of a wedding or other much-involving festivity or rite).
