Source: Pali Kanon: Pali Proper NamesKing of Rammanagara (Benares). He was the father of the Bodhisatta in his birth as Yuvanjaya (q.v.), and is identified with Suddhodana. J.iv.119f., 123.
Theravāda is a major branch of Buddhism having the the Pali canon (tipitaka) as their canonical literature, which includes the vinaya-pitaka (monastic rules), the sutta-pitaka (Buddhist sermons) and the abhidhamma-pitaka (philosophy and psychology).
