Ṛtujāta (ऋतुजात) or Ṛtujātapuṣpa refers to a “seasonal flowers”, which are used in the worship of Śiva, according to the Śivapurāṇa 2.1.14:—“[...] use of lovely flowers in the form of garlands (śṛṅgārahāra) increases happiness and wealth (sukhasampad). Use of seasonal flowers (ṛtujāta-puṣpa) for worship yields liberation (mukti). There is no doubt in this”.
