Source: archive.org: Shiva Purana - English TranslationṚtujāta (ऋतुजात) or Ṛtujātapuṣpa refers to a “seasonal flowers”, which are used in the worship of Śiva, according to the Śivapurāṇa 2.1.14:—“[...] use of lovely flowers in the form of garlands (śṛṅgārahāra) increases happiness and wealth (sukhasampad). Use of seasonal flowers (ṛtujāta-puṣpa) for worship yields liberation (mukti). There is no doubt in this”.
The Purana (पुराण, purāṇas) refers to Sanskrit literature preserving ancient India’s vast cultural history, including historical legends, religious ceremonies, various arts and sciences.
