Ramatobhadra (रमतोभद्र).—One special category is a group of mandalas dedicated to the worship of Rama, known as ramatobhadra, “ausicious because of [the seals of] Rama”. The Manoharakanda of he Ananda-Ramayana, dating from the end of the 17th or the beginning of the 18th century, is one major source for detailed descriptions of a large number of these mandalas. One defining feature of these mandalas is that they are inscribed with one or more “seals” (mudra) of Rama.
