Pradakṣiṇāvartagāmī (प्रदक्षिणावर्तगामी) refers to “gait swaying towards the right” and represents the fifteenth of the eighty minor marks of distinction (anuvyañjana) mentioned in the Sukhāvatī and following the order of the Mahāvyutpatti (269-348). In Tibetan, the characteristic called Pradakṣiṇāvartagāmī is known as ‘g.yas phyogs su ldog cing gshegs pa’. The Sukhāvatī represents a prayer for rebirth which was composed by Karma chags med, a Karma bka’ brgyud master, who lived in the seventeenth century.
