Source: ORA: Amanaska (king of all yogas): A Critical Edition and Annotated Translation by Jason BirchManovināśa (मनोविनाश) refers to the “disappearance of the mind”, according to the Amanaska Yoga treatise dealing with meditation, absorption, yogic powers and liberation.—Accordingly, as Īśvara says to Vāmadeva: “[...] And, this being the case, the disappearance of the breath cannot be mastered by the practice of the yoga with six auxiliaries and the like. However, the complete disappearance of the mind (manovināśa) can be easily mastered in merely an instant as a result of the Guru’s favour). [...]”.
