[idam.] The Coleroon, a branch of the Kāvēri; காவிரியினின்று பிரியும் ஒருநதி. குங்குமங்களுந்திவருங் கொள்ளிடத்தின் [kaviriyininru piriyum orunathi. kungumangalunthivarung kollidathin] (தேவாரம் [thevaram] 210, 6).
Tamil is an ancient language of India from the Dravidian family spoken by roughly 250 million people mainly in southern India and Sri Lanka.
