Kilāsin (किलासिन्).—weary, indolent, faint-hearted. Certainly = Pali kilāsu, which Geiger 39.1 derives with Trenckner from Sanskrit glāsnu; perhaps rightly; change of g to k may be due to confusion with forms of klam- (Pali kilam-), or even with Sanskrit kilāsin, leprous; in this sense in Mahāvastu ii.383.16—17 na jātu gilāno (note this form of glā!) bhave pāṇḍurāgo, na [Page184-a+ 71] cāpi kuṣṭhī nāpi ca kilāsī (clearly leprous). Defined āla- syopeta, vīryarahita, in Abhisamayālaṃkārāloka (GOS 62) 320.15: °sī, n. sg. m., Śikṣāsamuccaya 49.16; Aṣṭasāhasrikā-prajñāpāramitā 243.10.
