Kāñcyāsana (काञ्च्यासन) is a type of posture (āsana), according to verse 92 of the Śrītattvanidhi.—Accordingly, “Pass the hands between the thighs and over the buttocks. Stand on the feet on the floor. This is kāñcyāsana, the hip girdle”.

The 19th-century Śrītattvanidhi is a sanskrit treatise describing 80 primary āsanas, or ‘posture’ and several additional ones (e.g., kāñcī-āsana).

This name is unknown but mālāsana in Iyengar has a form similar to this.
