Source: archive.org: Ceylon Branch of the Royal Asiatic Society 1963Kālavāpinadī or Goṇanadī is an ancient name of river Kalā-Oya, known since the ancient kingdom of Anurādhapura, Ceylon (Sri Lanka).—The Kalā-Oya is called the Goṇanadī or Kālavāpinadī and the district through which it flowed in its lower course was known as the Goṇa or Gōṇa district.
