Source: Pali Kanon: Pali Proper NamesA lake, evidently in Ceylon. Culapintlapatika Tissa saw an elephants corpse floating in the lake and made it his subject of meditation for arahantship. Vsm.i.191.
There was evidently a vihara attached to it. The Majjhima Commentary (Ma.i.353f) gives a story of a novice who lived there.
