There are a rupa which supports all co existing rupa. This rupa is called jivita rupa. Without this rupa jivita all other rupa will not exist as rupas of living beings. It is also generated by kamma only.
Theravāda is a major branch of Buddhism having the the Pali canon (tipitaka) as their canonical literature, which includes the vinaya-pitaka (monastic rules), the sutta-pitaka (Buddhist sermons) and the abhidhamma-pitaka (philosophy and psychology).
