Source: Pali Kanon: Pali Proper NamesAn arahant. On the day of Vipassi Buddhas birth many miracles occurred, and soothsayers predicted that he would be a Buddha. Jatipujaka, hearing this, offered him jasmine flowers. Three kappas ago he became king thirty four times under the name of Suparicariya (Ap.i.154).
He is probably identical with Samitigutta. ThagA.i.176.
