Source: Pali Kanon: Manual of Buddhist Terms and Doctrinesvyāpāda, is a synonym of dosa (s. mūla) and patigha and is one of the 10 fetters (samyojana), 5 hindrances (nīvarana) and 10 unwholesome courses of action (s. kammapatha, I).
Theravāda is a major branch of Buddhism having the the Pali canon (tipitaka) as their canonical literature, which includes the vinaya-pitaka (monastic rules), the sutta-pitaka (Buddhist sermons) and the abhidhamma-pitaka (philosophy and psychology).
