Hayakātharā (हयकाथरा) is the Sanskrit name for an unidentified medicinal plant, according to verse 5.114 of the 13th-century Raj Nighantu or Rājanighaṇṭu. Note: There isn't a single identifying synonym or characteristic of Hayakātharā.

Properties and characteristics: “All the synonyms of Haya, added before the word Kātharā will be the synonym for this drug Hayakātharā. This drug is bitter (tikta) and anti-vāta. It stimulates the digestive process”.
