Source: Pali Kanon: Pali Proper NamesThe district given for the maintenance of Ilanagas state elephant, who saved the king from the prison into which he was cast by the Lambakannas (Mhv.xxv.20f., 44). It was in the south of Ceylon and in the village was the Pangura vihara. MA.i.530.
