Dabhīti (दभीति).—A hermit who is praised much in the Ṛgveda. It is mentioned in Ṛgveda, Maṇḍala 1, Anuvāka 16, Sūkta 112, that the Aśvinīdevas had saved Turvīti, Dabhīti, Dhvasanti and Puruṣanti, the sons of Indra, from a danger.
