1. To shrink, look small; குறுகுதல். சிறாம்பி இரப்பாளனாய் நின்ற நிலை [kuruguthal. sirambi irappalanay ninra nilai] (ஈடு-முப்பத்தாறுயிரப்படி [idu-muppatharuyirappadi], 2, 6, 1).
2. To grow lean, become emaciated; இளைத்தல். இத்தலையைப் பிரிந்து வந்து சிறாம்புதலெல்லாம் [ilaithal. ithalaiyaip pirinthu vanthu sirambuthalellam] (ஈடு-முப்பத்தாறுயிரப்படி [idu-muppatharuyirappadi], 6, 1, 11).
