(Rhetoric) Paronomasia, figure of speech in which a word or phrase admits of two or more interpretations, of two kinds, viz., cem-moḻi-c-cilēṭai, piri-moḻi-c-cilēṭai; செம்மொழிச்சிலேடை பிரி மொழிச்சிலேடை என்ற இருபிரிவுடையதாய் ஒருவடி வாக நின்ற சொற்றொடர் பலபொருளுடையதாக வரும் அணி. [semmozhichiledai piri mozhichiledai enra irupirivudaiyathay oruvadi vaga ninra sorrodar palaporuludaiyathaga varum ani.] (தண்டியலங்காரம் [thandiyalangaram] 75.)
