1. That which remains; remnant, surplus; மீந்த பொருள். (சூடாமணிநிகண்டு) மேற்கொண்ட சேடமதுவே [mintha porul. (sudamaninigandu) merkonda sedamathuve] (தாயுமானசுவாமிகள் பாடல் பரிபூ. [thayumanasuvamigal padal paripu.] 2).
2. (Arithmetic) Remainder; கழித்த மீதி. [kazhitha mithi.]
3. Food, flowers, etc., offered to a deity; பிரசாதம். ஆடக மாடத் தறிதுயி லமர்ந்தோன் சேடங்கொண்டு [pirasatham. adaga madath tharithuyi lamarnthon sedangondu] (சிலப்பதிகாரம் அரும்பதவுரை [silappathigaram arumbathavurai] 26, 62).
