Cēṭai (சேடை) noun < Telugu cēṭa. [K. śēṣe.]

1. Part of the marriage ceremony among Non-Brahmins, which consists in throwing rice over the bride and bridegroom and blessing them; மணமக்கள்மீது அட்சதையிடும் விவாகச் சடங்கு. [manamakkalmithu adsathaiyidum vivagas sadangu.]
