Cātaṉacatuṭṭayam (சாதனசதுட்டயம்) [cātaṉa-catuṭṭayam] noun < sādhana + catuṣṭaya. (Advaita Philosophy) The four disciplinary requisites indispensable to a student before he is initiated into the Vēdānta philosophy, viz., nittiyānittiya-vastu-vivēkam, ikāmuttirārtta-palapōka-virākam, camāti-caṭka-campattu, mumuṭcuttuvam; வேதாந்தம் பயிலு வதற்குமுன் மாணவனிடத்தில் இருக்கவேண்டி நித்தியானுசந்தானம் நித்தியவஸ்துவிவேகம், இகாமுத்திரார்த்தபலபோக விராகம், சமாதிசட்கசம்பத்து, முழுட்சுத்துவம் என்னும் நான்கு குணங்கள்.
