Bhavakṛdvidhi (भवकृद्विधि) refers to the “creator of the worlds” and is used to describe Brahmā, according to the Śivapurāṇa 2.5.6 (“Prayer to Śiva”).—Accordingly, after Śiva spoke to the Gods: “O great sage, on hearing these words of Śiva, all the heaven-dwellers and Viṣṇu became dispirited. On seeing the gods and Viṣṇu sitting cheerless, Brahmā, the creator of the worlds (bhavakṛdvidhi) spoke to Śiva with palms joined in reverence”.
