Source: Google Books: ManthanabhairavatantramBhānavīkrama (भानवीक्रम) refers to the “transmission of the sun”, according to the Ciñcinīmatasārasamuccaya.—[...] The goddess is twelve-fold as are the twelve suns in the yearly cycle, a view known to Abhinavagupta who also refers to it in his presentation of the Twelve Kālīs. However, he does not lend this aspect much weight. The Ciñcinīmatasārasamuccaya, on the contrary, emphasises this feature so strongly that the teaching is called the Transmission of the Sun (bhānavīkrama) because the energy of Kālī is configured in this way. In this context Kālī's lunar nature takes second place with respect to her solar one.
