bhaṇabhaṇāṭa (भणभणाट).—m (bhaṇa! bhaṇa!) A swarming din; a loud and deafening buzzing. 2 (From the hollow sound fancied in such places--See the verb.) Nakedness, dismalness, dreariness, desolateness (of an empty building or village, of a vast wilderness--"howling").
