agadī (अगदी) [or दीं, dīṃ].—ad Altogether, wholly, completely, perfectly; without any exception, reservation, or imperfection. Ex. gharāntīla māṇasēṃ a0 mēlīṃ; pāūsa a0 gēlā; tumhāsa pōthī a0 dilhī. 2 To the uttermost degree; superlatively, quite, indeed: corresponding with our emphatic particles--stone (blind), stark (mad), dead (drunk), downright (ass, rogue, &c.) Ex. a0 andhaḷā-vēḍā-dhunda-mūrkha. 3 Extremely, exceedingly, very, having the force of the emphatic words hard, fast, too, utterly. Ex. hēṃ kāma malā a0 nēhaṭalēṃ kēlēñca pāhijē. 4 (With neg. con.) None at all; nowhere on the earth; never since time began. Ex. hyānta gūḷa a0 nāhīṃ; asalā padārtha a0 brahmāṇḍānta nāhīṃ; hī gōṣṭa a0 hōta nāhīṃ.
