Source: Wisdom Library: Kubjikāmata-tantraŚambhukalpa (शम्भुकल्प):—One of the ‘special period of time’ (kalpa) associated with the group of eight deities (mātṛ) born from Khecarī, according to the Kubjikāmata-tantra. Khecarī is the first of the Eight Mahāmātṛs, residing within the Mātṛcakra (third of the five cakras) and represents the element ether or space.
Shaiva (शैव, śaiva) or Shaivism (śaivism) represents a tradition of Hinduism worshiping Shiva as the supreme being. Closely related to Shaktism, Shaiva literature includes a range of scriptures, including Tantras, while the root of this tradition may be traced back to the ancient Vedas.
